Fiery trials


Q. How do fiery trials test the bonds of our affections toward God and things?
A. If we are true, then the trials will help us make our bonds of affections stronger. The trials test to see of you will break.

Q. How do fiery trials separate impurities from our lives?
A. When we go through a trial, if we are true, we will see the impurities and, with God’s help, we will remove them.

Q. How do fiery trials distinguish what is true from false.
A. When we go through trials, we will be able to tell out things and people that are true and will stick with us and those that are false.

Q. How do fiery trials bond us to others who have gone through the fire?
A. We understand what the other has gone through.

Q. How do fiery trials produce transparency in our lives?
A. When we have gone through a trial with a teachable spirit, then we will be able to look into ourselves and see our faults. Also others will be able to see the love of Jesus in our hearts.

Q. How do fiery trials change our attitudes so that we can more easily reject impurities?
A. The more trials that we face and pass, the more we become like our Heavenly Father. So therefore it is easier to reject impurities.

Q. How do fiery trials help us to discern that which is durable from that which is perishable?
A. When we go through a fiery trial we will realize the things that are going to mean something (durable things) and things that aren’t going to mean anything (perishable things).
