Well, here it is! The sneak peak of my book! The first part is actually from my book. It is kind of choppy, as I have cut some stuff out of it, but you’ll get the point! The rest is a sum up of the whole thing…I think…anyway, please tell me what you think!!!
In days of old, a long time nigh,
We lived in a mountain near the sky,
Before came these days ever so dark.
A dragon red came from the skies so blue,
Came and stole the things we once knew.
Now we live low and unknown!
But we were promised one day of old,
We will regain our throne of ancient gold,
By a prince and dragon’s son.
For us to regain our old mountain home,
To finally end our aimless roam,
This prince must suffer great loss.
He will lead us in the way,
To become our king in that day.
When he slays the worm and the witch who broke us.
Send him quickly Mighty One!
We wait for this great dragon’s son,
Patiently we wait for freedom pledged.
It had once been a Wovlen lullaby that most women sang at the cradles of their sons hoping that they would be the prince to come.
“He will most assuredly have his hands full- that is if he does come.” Keegan sighed doubtfully.
“Do you not believe that the prophecies of old will come to pass?” A familiar voice spoke behind Keegan.
The sudden sound startled Keegan and he spun round to face Walneff.
“Oh, Walneff. I did not hear you come near.” Keegan said shyly.
“Yes, I get the impression that many people do not expect me, but you, however, were listening most attentively to that song being sung below.” Walneff stated.
He rubbed his beard thoughtfully as he looked down below, then he stopped and faced Keegan.
“Thou hast not answered my question.” He reminded.
Keegan shrugged his shoulders.
“It is not that I doubt them, it’s just- well, they have not come to past hitherto and I don’t see why they should nowadays or in the days to come.” He looked down at the woman as she finished picking flowers and started to walk back toward the castle “All I see is wishful thinking. It was probably just a song made to cause empty wishes to float on singing voices to the cradles of innocent babes.” Keegan finished with an irritated tone.
“Ah, so you do not believe that the prophecies ever existed?” Walneff asked with an air and with his hand still stroking his beard as he looked back down at the garden still wet with dew.
“Nay, if they did not exist then they would not be sung today, however I do not believe that they are- well-” Keegan broke off unsure of the proper word to use.
“True? You do not believe that they are true? Prophecies foretold of the Dragon Forest one day becoming a haven for dragons and it came to pass. Why should this one not also?” Walneff questioned quietly with one hand held out toward the garden, the other on his hip and his face toward Keegan.
Keegan stared at Walneff for a minute then looked out at the garden.
After a moment, Keegan spoke quietly.
“There is no reason why the prophecy should not come true except that what man would be great enough to ‘kill the dragon’ and ‘help to slay the witch’? Who would be fool enough to try?” He sighed.
“A dragon’s son.” Walneff answered gently while looking down at the garden.

Keegan is a man that has been hunted all of his life, because of his family heritage.
He is lost, confused, and uncertain, tormented by his past; and yet is strong, steady and ready for what lies ahead.
He must find the one who can truly help him through his troubles. That one is Dayspring.
He was once a dragon slayers son, now a dragon’s son.
He was once a nomad, hunted and outcast; now a prince to come.
He shall slay the worm, free the princess, and kill the witch of old.
He shall sit in the mountain of his ancestors upon a throne of ancient gold.
